NWO grants Industrial Doctorate funding to Netspar researcher Jorgo Goossens for pension research

NWO funds sixteen PhD students through the Industrial Doctorates programme. Jorgo Goossens is one of them, a PhD student at Netspar and the Tilburg School of Economics and Management (TiSEM). Bas Werker (TiU), Marike Knoef (LU) and Eduard Ponds (TiU/APG) will supervise the research titled ‘Behavioral biases and individual heterogenity in pensions: Household Asset Liability Management’. The project studies how, when given more freedom of choice in pensions, individuals can be guided in their choice process to ensure optimal outcomes for them personally but also for society at large.

About the Industrial Doctorates program
The research is conducted at Netspar and Netspar’s partner APG. With the Industrial Doctorates program, NWO contributes to intensive collaboration between universities and entrerprises. The program also focuses strongly on talent development of the PhD student.
