Netspar provides education for graduate students, as well as pension professionals through specialized programs. This way, we contribute to developing human capital for the pension and insurance industry and ongoing pension research.
Our executive education program provides practitioners and administrators in the industry with convenient opportunities to enrich their professional knowledge through the Pension Innovation program from the Netspar TIAS Academy. For more information, please visit the Tias website.
Graduate students: Netspar Track
For graduate students, there is the Netspar Track specialization offered in conjunction with Tilburg University under four of its master’s programs (Finance, Economics, Econometrics & Mathematical Economics, and Quantitative Finance & Actuarial Science). A Track is a pre-composed package of courses, so that a student can specialize more specifically. The Netspar Tracks include a community program with internships, company visits, peer review sessions, and meetings with experts.
“Netspar plays an important role in making the impact of scientific research visible in society. In addition, Netspar provides post-graduate and executive education that contributes to life long learning, which in our vision is the benchmark for the future.”
Emile Aarts, Tilburg University
To further motivate talented students and researchers, Netspar awards several Thesis Awards each year, in the amount of 3,000 euros, in the categories (Research) Master, PhD and Netspar Academy thesis. For the categories Bachelor’s and (Research) Master’s thesis, additional prizes of € 3,000 (one per category) are available for theses with high relevance for the current pension debate. These additional prizes are sponsored by the UWV (Dutch Employee Insurance Agency).
The Netspar Thesis Awards are presented at the annual Netspar Pension Workshop in January.
