International Pension Workshop ’21

Van 20 tot 22 januari 2021 organiseert Netspar de jaarlijkse, internationale pensioenconferentie in Leiden. Onderzoekers uit onder verschillende landen presenteren academisch pensioenonderzoek rond vraagstukken op het gebied van finance, gedrag, wonen, werken, levensverwachting, keuze en pensionering.

DEADLINE FOR PAPER SUBMISSION: NOVEMBER 1, 2020

Netspar stimulates innovative academic research in all disciplines in the social sciences related to aging and retirement. For the Netspar International Pension Workshop to be held on January 20-22, 2021, Netspar invites contributions from all areas of Netspar’s research program.

Topics of interest related to aging and retirement are:

  • Wellbeing and Welfare of Older age groups
  • Communication and choice
  • Labor market performance of older age groups
  • Housing and healthcare of the elderly
  • Savings, investments and insurance
  • Institutions, governance and solidarity

DESCRIPTION PENSION WORKSHOP JANUARY 20 – 22, 2021

Date                January 20-22, 2021
Location          City Resort Hotel, Leiden, the Netherlands
(Approximately 16 minutes from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol by train)

The workshop will certainly take place despite the current corona crisis and the uncertainty that comes along with that. The form and location of this workshop is not yet final. This depends on the then applicable guidelines.

The workshop consists of contributed paper sessions and invited talks.

INTERESTED IN PARTICIPATION
Researchers interested in participating are requested to submit a complete paper here before November 1, 2020. If you are not interested in submitting a paper but you are willing to participate as a discussant, please also let us know as this will be highly appreciated. You can register here.

Travel reimbursement
For speakers, discussants and Netspar fellows, the organization will provide two or three nights of accommodation and reimburse travel costs (economy class travel up to agreed university limits), provided that participants stay for the entire duration of the conference. For other conference participants, there is a conference fee of €350 (this fee will be waived for representatives of the Netspar partners).

Doel van deze jaarlijkse bijeenkomst van en voor academici is het presenteren en feedback ophalen van onderzoekers uit verschillende landen en werkvelden. Voor onderzoekers is de IPW “the place to be” om zich te laten informeren en inspireren, te leren van andere landen en te netwerken met toponderzoekers op het gebied van pensioen, arbeidsmarkt en vergrijzing.
