Netspar makes papers and publications available in an online database. We distinguish between Industry Papers, Academic papers and Board briefs

Explanation types of publications

Industry papers are papers for pension sector professionals. They are published on the Netspar website after approval by the Netspar Editorial Board (EB). The EB checks the papers for both academic quality and accessibility by non-academic professionals. Industry papers often form the basis for discussion and reflection during Netspar events. Representatives from partners in the academic, pension, and insurance sectors are invited to these events.

Academic papers are an essential part of Netspar’s knowledge infrastructure. They provide insight into ongoing and completed scientific research by Netspar fellows and are usually submitted to or published in renowned academic journals. Netspar shares these papers via its website to provide the pension and insurance sector, and academics in particular, with up-to-date and in-depth knowledge that contributes to policy-making and academic discussion.

Board briefs are intended to provide an overview, background information and clarification to help pension fund boards and social partners with the decisions they need to make regarding pensions. Board briefs are published on the Netspar website and are intended as a basis for discussions and considerations.
