Research meeting; Household decision-making surrounding pensions & retirement
On Tuesday October 4th, 2022 the Netspar research meeting on the theme of “Household decision-making surrounding pensions & retirement” will be held. Netspar fellow Thomas Post (Maastricht University) will present his latest project “Cognitive constraints, planned savings and downstream economic behaviors”. The second speaker is Netspar fellow Tabea Bucher-Koenen (ZEW – Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research in Mannheim). She will give an online presentation on her research topic Disparities in financial literacy, pension planning, and saving behavior (joint research with Andreas Hackethal, Christine Laudenbach and Johannes Kasinger).
Netspar research meetings are aimed solely at academic researchers affiliated with Netspar and are intended as a platform to present and discuss recent research on a topic related to the broad area of aging, pensions, and retirement. These meetings also facilitate discussions of future research topics and potential collaborations. The program will also regularly include informative contributions on current policy topics. It is our intention to organize such a research meeting four times a year. Suggestions on topics for future meetings are most welcome.
