Netspar organizes this online After Lunch Taskforce Meeting for partners and employees of partners. Researchers will outline their latest retirement research and then receive feedback and answer questions. It is just another way we bring science, academics, and professional practice closer together.

In this online After Lunch Taskforce Meeting by Jona Linde (Maastricht University) and Ingrid Rohde (Open Universiteit & University of Bonn) you will hear more about how choices such as high/low pension or fixed or variable pension can influence each other and are influenced by the way in which those choices are offered. Questions and input on this ongoing research are very welcome. This is a Dutch-speaking event.

We laten zien dat (pensioen)keuzes meer beïnvloed worden door de presentatie wanneer opties gezamenlijk in plaats van apart worden aangeboden. Meer informatie over de cumulative gevolgen van verschillende opties zorgt voor minder beïnvloeding en wellicht betere keuzes.

Minder werken vóór pensioen: plannen en realiteit – After-lunch webinar Camilla Marabini
Policies that aim to extend working lives can be difficult for older workers who face high job demands, caregiving responsibilities, or health problems. One proposed solution is allowing employees to reduce their working hours in the years before retirement. Using data from 1,241 Dutch employees aged 60–63 over eight years, the study finds that about one quarter planned to reduce their hours and one third eventually did so. The results show that workplace arrangements for reducing work hours play a key role in enabling this transition, especially for employees experiencing high job pressure.
