Netspar organizes this online After Lunch Taskforce Meeting for partners and employees of partners. Researchers will outline their latest retirement research and then receive feedback and answer questions. It is just another way we bring science, academics, and professional practice closer together.

In this online After Lunch Taskforce Meeting by Lisa Brüggen (Maastricht University) you will learn more about: the dilemmas that arise when communicating about the transition and the allocation of personal assets. Questions and input on this ongoing research are most welcome. This is a Dutch-speaking event.

This research is being conducted together with Bas Werker (Tilburg University).

 

 

Voorafgaand aan de overstap naar een nieuwe regeling (‘de transitie’ of ‘het invaren’) moet een pensioenfonds alle belanghebbenden inzicht geven in de gevolgen van de overstap.  Dit Netspar topicality project gaat over de communicatie betreffende die overstap.

We identificeren dillema’s die ontstaan bij de communicatie rondom de transitie. De dilemma’s maken duidelijk waarop nog afstemming plaats moet vinden, zowel binnen uitvoerders (tussen communicatiedeskundigen, beleggers, actuarissen, en juristen) dan ook tussen uitvoerders. Een belangrijke boodschap is dan ook dat communicatie mee aan tafel moet als door uitvoerders besluiten worden genomen!

Tijdens deze bijeenkomst wordt het tussenresultaat van de Netspar projectgroep “Pensioenplicht voor alle werkenden” gepresenteerd en is er veel ruimte voor discussie en feedback. De vraag of een pensioenplicht voor alle werkenden verstandig is komt niet aan de orde. De projectgroep richt zich op de vraag hoe een eventuele pensioenplicht vormgegeven zou kunnen worden.

Bescherming tegen renterisico, inkomens- en inflatierisico in het nieuwe pensioencontract – Daniel Mantilla Garcia – After-lunch webinar
This paper develops a framework for managing interest-rate conversion risk in the new Dutch pension contract, a collective defined contribution system in which multiple generations share investment risk and protection objectives. We show that a simple return-protection strategy can deliver these targets even under extreme scenarios for the risky portfolio.
