Academic Meetings

Are you a researcher affiliated with Netspar as a fellow? Then our scientific meetings offer you the perfect opportunity for networking and collaboration. We organize many different types of meetings throughout the year.

Pension Day is an event where you can meet up with other researchers working in the field of pensions, aging, and retirement. As a participant, you can send in your paper or comprehensive summary, after which discussants will provide feedback on it. You can also serve as a discussant yourself.

This meeting is held annually in the month of October. Submissions are welcome from all of the disciplines covered by the Netspar knowledge agenda. Moreover, besides senior researchers, junior researchers are particularly encouraged to send in their work.

The PhD Meeting on Pensions brings you together with other PhD candidates studying pensions, aging, and retirement in the Netherlands. This is a multidisciplinary gathering at which researchers from all disciplines are welcome. As a PhD student, you will be given the opportunity to present and discuss your research, expand your network, and seek out opportunities for collaborating with others. Senior researchers are eagerly encouraged to contribute their thoughts and help stimulate the discussion.

Another part of the event is a workshop on communication in which we offer you inspiration and practical skills for your research practice.

The PhD Meeting on Pensions is an initiative of the Institute for Transnational and Euregional Cross-Border Cooperation and Mobility (ITEM) at Maastricht University and the Competence Centre for Pension Research (CCP) at Tilburg University and is held annually.
