Pension honors program 2021

This program is offered in 2021 at all master’s programs of the Tilburg School of Economics & Management (TISEM) but is specifically aimed at four master’s programmes:

  • Masters in Finance;
  • Master in Economics;
  • Master in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics (EME);
  • Masters in Quantitative Finance and Actuarial Science (QFAS).

The Pensions Honors Program offers a unique specialization in pensions and aging at Tilburg University, with the subject The Economics and Finance of Pensions at its core.  Students receive a certificate if they successfully complete the course ‘Economics and Finance of Pensions’ (EFP) and write a thesis on a Netspar-related topic.

On the date of publication of this annual report, 45 of the students from 2021 are officially following the program and 6 students have graduated with a Netspar certificate. Students participate in events and some of them have indicated that they are writing their thesis on a pension-related topic.

Netspar, Network for Studies on Pensions, Aging and Retirement, is a thinktank and knowledge network. Netspar is dedicated to promoting a wider understanding of the economic and social implications of pensions, aging and retirement in the Netherlands and Europe.
