Sounding Board Group Meeting II
October 13, 2009

Overview of the program:

1. Bart Klijs presented his research on the contribution of chronic diseases to the burden of disability in The Netherlands.
2. Istvan Majer participates in the project on projections of life-expectancy and disability-free life expectancy. His presentation gave an overview of the results and the conclusions.
3. Measuring and reducing longevity risk is the focus of Ralph Stevens' research project. He presents the results of three papers.

   After the presentations and discussions the sounding board members and the theme members explore the possibilities for cooperation in the future. The partners show great interest in the theme's results. A new meeting is planned for March or April 2010.
