Nicholas Barr Nicholas Barr is Professor of Public Economics at the London School of Economics. His research interests are Economic theory of the welfare state; social insurance, especially the economics of pensions, in OECD and postcommunist countries; health finance in OECD and postcommunist countries; and the finance of higher education in OECD and postcommunist countries.
