What is?

Netspar organizes a variety of activities to exchange knowledge with our partners and to stimulate discussions aimed at encouraging social innovation in the pension and insurance sectors.

Annual conference target group: scientiststarget group: policy makers
Each year in April Netspar organizes a conference in cooperation with one of the partners. This event combines the highest level of scientific research with discussions of the potential impact on society and the implications for (public) policy on retirement and pensions. A panel discussion wit economists and policy makers and/or politicians rounds off the conference.

Anniversary meeting
At an annual anniversary meeting in March key players in the Dutch pension and insurance sectors discuss current issues in the field of aging, pensions and retirement

During bi-annual (January and June) workshops, foreign academic specialists share the results of their research, and prominent Dutch policymakers present their perspectives on policy issues. As from 2009, the June workshop will have a more scientific character and will often be held abroad.

The theme researchers discuss the progress and exchange knowledge with partner representatives who actively take part in the theme activities, for example via sounding boards.

Paneltarget group: scientists target group: policy makers
Panel meetings are held in April and October. Partners discuss the policy implications of Panel Papers with researchers and policy makers. The Netspar Panel Papers provide a survey of the latest and most relevant research, explain this in a non-technical manner, and outline the implications for policy questions.
